A young man dreams of becoming a secret agent like James Bond but ends up becoming an ‘insurance agent’. His girlfriend insists on his achieving success in his career as a precondition for their wedding.

How the young man faces the challenges in both his career and on the love front with his steadfast determination has been neatly portrayed in the Telugu film, ‘Vikramarkudi Love Story’, slated for release in April this year.

Prasad MGV is making his debut as a director and Sailesh as a hero with this film. Chandini Singh is playing his love interest. The director, hero and a majority of the artistes belong to Visakhapatnam.

“We had commenced shooting in May 2014 and completed it in September before the very severe cyclone Hudhud, crossed the Visakhapatnam coast on October 12, 2014, leaving behind a trail of destruction. Nearly 80 per cent of the shooting was done in and around Visakhapatnam when the lush greenery of the city was intact,” Mr. Prasad told The Hindu on Wednesday.

“Ahuthi Prasad, who died recently, played an important character in the film. It is a romantic entertainer and can be watched by the whole family as there is no vulgarity. The audio is planned for release during the third week of March in Vizag,” he said.

Produced by Sneha and Snigdha (Visakhapatnam) on the banner of Saannidya Creations, Viswanath Ghantasala, an upcoming music director, has scored the music. The others in the cast include: Monica Singh, Abhiram of ‘Ala Modalaindi’ fame on ETV, Prasanna Kumar, Ambati Srinivas, Priya Gollapudi, Badamgeer Sai, Vinay Prakash Kareem, Botta Nageswara Rao, Veeru Mama, Sushanth, comedy Prakash, mimicry Rajesh, Sinka and Mokkala Mohan.

Prasad MGV’s debutant film, in which ‘Ahuti’ Prasad played an important role, is set for release in April
