December 29, 2014 11:38 pm | Updated July 31, 2016 01:46 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

RINL Chief Vigilance Officer B. Siddhartha Kumar on Monday said that today’s business was in very competitive environment with inherent problems of external players capturing the centre-stage in the market place.

He observed this while inaugurating a workshop on ‘developing a methodology for measuring transparency index’ held at Management Development Centre at Ukkunagaram under the aegis of Vigilance Department.

Mr. Siddhartha Kumar said that so as to achieve reduction of wastages and costs and improvements in recruitment process, building transparent systems was the need of the hour failing which it was difficult for the organisations to sustain in today’s global environment.

All processes should aim towards emancipation of the society and keep away the public anger. The credibility, respectability and trust were definitely the pillars that could be the underlying philosophy for exemplary leadership, transparency and good governance, he opined.

The workshop ended with presentations by various groups. Senior officials of RINL participated in the workshop.
