TNIT compulsory, says DEO

August 18, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 08:10 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The Training Needs Identification Test (TNIT) for ‘school assistants’ of all government and private high schools and upper primary schools in the district will be held on August 20 and 21, according to a statement issued by District Education Officer MV Krishna Reddy.

The decision to conduct the test was taken by the State government to identify the training needs of teachers and prepare a handbook. The idea was to provide specialised training based on their competencies but not to create any hurdles in the promotions, granting of increments or incentives to the teachers, the DEO noted.

The teachers, who have not chosen their examination centre so far, have to do so by 9 p.m. on Thursday failing which the Education officials would allot the centre.
