With the rulers not bothering about society and people the young generation must take up the task, senior Judge of AP High Court Justice G. Chandra Kumar said here on Monday.
Addressing judicial officers, advocates, and law students on the topic “Role of youth in building the nation” at the District Court's library hall, he regretted the functioning of the rulers, civil services officials, and deterioration in valuesThough black money of lakhs of crores of rupees was lying in foreign banks, the government lacked the guts to reveal names to which the money belonged; the IAS and IPS officers had ignored the people's welfare and the rulers were winning elections for their own sake and not for improving the lot of people, Mr. Chandra Kumar regretted.
“Every one wants to earn a lot of money but what do they do with it? Look what had happened to the great emperor Alexander who conquered the world but died due to a mosquito bite,” he said.
Humanity and family system along with family values had gone for a toss.
Parents were totally immersed in earning wealth while their children were attracted towards vices, he said and found the parents and teachers for the children getting spoiled.
He wanted the elders and parents to tell the young generation about great personalities like Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa.
The youth must think about a fruitful life.
The High Court Judge cautioned those getting information by using the Right to Information Act to do so as a group or through an organisation instead of taking up issues as individuals since the RTI activists were facing a lot of problems and difficulties.
Principal District Judge Ch. Manavendranath Roy felt that the country would develop only due to a responsible young generation.
