The Hindu Young World quiz on Jan. 29

The Hindu’s Young World Quiz is back and the 18th edition titled ‘Young World Quiz’ will be conducted on January 29 in the city. It will be held at the Veda Dharma Rakshana Sabha Auditorium, Near Guruvayoor Krishna Mandir, North Extension Layout, Seethammadhara.

The popular annual quiz competition for school students will be held in two categories – seniors (Class VII to IX) and juniors (Class IV to VI).

The prize distribution ceremony will be held at 5 pm at the same venue.

The quiz will be hosted by The Hindu ’s residential quiz master V.V. Ramanan. The quiz is powered by Eveready Industries India Ltd and Arrow Publications (knowledge partners).

For juniors, the quiz competition will begin at 10 am and for seniors, the competition will begin at 2 pm. Registration for morning session will begin at 9 a.m. and for the afternoon session will be begin at 1 p.m.

The participating teams have to take the common written preliminary test and an on-stage quiz contest to find a place in top six positions.

Eligibility

Students of the schools in and around Visakhapatnam districts can compete in the quiz. The participating teams should be authorised by the school management and any number of teams from a single school are allowed. Each team should have two members. However, in the final six teams, only a maximum of two teams from the same school will be allowed. The team members, however, should be from the same branch of the school.
