The Telugu Desam Government is being given time until December 31 to mend its ways and fulfil its election promises and if it does not do so, in the New Year Dronamraju Srinivas would move courts against the TD government, Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy said.

Just as Dronamraju Satyanarayana stood up against TD founder NT Rama Rao and had filed a number of cases against him, his political heir and son Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao would take the fight to the courts, Mr Raghuveera Reddy said addressing a massive gathering of Congress workers at the celebration of 82 birth anniversary of Dronamraju Satyanarayana here on Friday.

The list of misdeeds of the Telugu Desam party was too long and could not be spelt out in the short time available at the meeting, he said.

The meet was organised to boost the morale of Congress party cadre and inspire them to get set for the coming city civic elections. Party leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP T Subbarami Reddy, former PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana, former minister Kondru Murali, former MP Killi Kruparani, district president Satish Varma and city president Behera Bhaskara Rao, among others, gathered.

Calling upon all the leaders who had left the party to return to the party that gave them political life, Dronamraju Srinivas said that there would be no acrimony against those who returned. The party workers should take up door-to-door campaign to revive the party image and its prospects in the civic elections, he said.

He demanded that the Government take steps to ensure that all the persons affected by cyclone Hudhud received compensation without further delay.
