Tagarapuvalasa will get facelift: Ganta

Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao laid the foundation for various development works, to be taken up in Bheemunipatnam Assembly constituency at an estimated cost of ₹ 2.4 crore, at Tagarapuvalasa on Thursday.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion, the HRD Minister said Tagarapuvalasa would get a facelift with due focus on development of roads, drinking water and lighting facilities. He said already ₹ 42.69 crore was sanctioned of which works worth ₹ 25.12 crore were already completed. The RTC Busstand works would be completed soon. A sports stadium would be constructed after identification of availability of suitable land in the constituency.

GVMC Commissioner M. Harinarayanan and AP State Ware Housing Corporation director B. Maninshankar Naidu were among those present at the programme.

Earlier, the Minister inaugurated an RO water purification plant, set up by the Sana Foundation at a cost of ₹20 lakh, at the Zilla Parishad Girls High School.
