Sale of tickets for Sunday’s Twenty20 match between Sri Lanka and India to be played at the ACA-VDCA Stadium here, will commence at eSeva Centres in the city on Thursday morning.
A total of 12,000 tickets would be sold, with the sale of 5,900 tickets of Rs. 600 denomination and 2,000 tickets of Rs. 300 to be taken up on Thursday, Joint Collector J. Nivas said. Each eSeva centre is allotted 300 tickets of Rs. 600 denomination and 100 tickets of Rs. 300 denomination.
At 8 a.m. the first 400 in the queue at each eSeva centre would be issued tokens by the Tahsildar or Deputy Tahsildar in charge of the eSeva Centre and they could purchase the tickets of either of the two denominations.
Each person can buy only one ticket. Out of the 18 centres, those at China Gantyada (Gajuwaka), Suryabaugh, Aseelmetta and RK Beach would sell 425 tickets of Rs. 600 denomination and 150 tickets of Rs. 300 denomination.
From Friday, the sale of tickets of other denominations: Rs. 3,000 (300 in number), Rs. 2,000 (600), Rs. 1500 (600) and Rs. 1,000 (2,600) would commence.
Parking of vehicles
The sale of these 12,000 tickets is apart from the sale of tickets being done online and at ACA-VDCA Stadium by the ACA and organising committee of the match.
Parking of vehicles is arranged on the campus of the Sanketika Engineering College behind the stadium and on a private parking site on the other side of National Highway.
Tickets will be sold at the eSeva centres located in GVMC buildings: near RK Hospital, China Gantyada; GVMC building near Chaitanya Junior College, Aseelmetta; near RK beach; near Sub-Registrar’s Office, Chittivanipalem, Autonagar; near Rythu Bazaar, Vadlapudi; Relliveedhi; Pedagantyada; Govt. Hospital presmises, Arilova; near Sri Erukamamba temple, Dondaparthi; near NSTL second gate, Butchirajupalem; MVP Colony; near Reliance Fresh, Chinna Waltair; near Mariyadas Kalyana Mandapam, Gnanapuram; near Rythu Bazaar, Kancharapalem; near Govt. Hospital, Malkapuram; near R and B Office, Madhavadhara; and near Alluri Sitaramaraju statue, Seetammadhara.
