Students present impressive show

Students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan staged a playlet on Swachh Bharat which earned them three bronze Nandis at the Nandi Natakotsavam held in Tirupati recently.

The playlet staged at Kalabharati auditorium on Saturday explained why they won three bronze Nandis and received appreciation of the local audience for its thought provoking theme.

Sri Prakash students won the Nandis in the presentation, playlet and actor categories.

Over 20 students studying in classes from VI to VIII highlighted the importance of maintaining the surroundings clean.

The drama, written by theatre artiste and actor S.K. Mishro and directed by P.V. Ramana Murthy, drew the attention of the audience. Mr. Mishro appreciated the students for making their presence felt in the State-level theatre festival.

Renowned stage actor and writer Meegada Ramalinga Swamy, CEO of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association Pawan G. Agarwal, who attended the programme, lauded the young artistes for portraying the theme in a lively manner.
