Datla Devadanam Raju’s “Yanam Kadhalu” received critical acclaim for its brevity and diversity in the life of Yanam.

At a review meeting organised by Monday Mosaic at Visakhapatnam Public Library, writer LR Swamy said the stories struck a balance between literature and history and captured the unique life of the people of Yanam, once a French colony.

Writer and actor Gollapudi Maruti Rao lauded the stories for their brevity, simplicity and literary style.

A writer, “Manjari,” said the stories transported readers to a different world by being funny but universal in their appeal and traversing the world between the Godavari and France.

The writer thanked the reviewers for their views and said he had themes ready for another 100 stories. Writer Jagaddhatri spoke at the function.
