Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has provided a new hockey field to conduct the all-India inter-steel plant hockey championship of the Steel Plants Sports Board, which is allotted to VSP for the first time.
The red earth and clay hockey field along with a retaining wall, fencing and borewell was made ready by the VSP’s Sports Department in Sector I of Ukkunagaram for the inter-steel tournament being held from September 28 to October 3, HoD and Assistant General Manager (sports) M.S. Kumar said.
