The Indian Navy after a review decided to continue the search and rescue operation for four missing personnel, including an officer and three sailors, eight days after its torpedo recovery vessel sank off the coast of Visakhapatnam.
A Navy spokesperson told The Hindu that on Thursday a review of the SAR was held and they decided to do all it takes to find its missing personnel. Taking into consideration the prevailing drift and currents the search area has been extended up to 270 nautical miles south of Visakhapatnam. No survivor or body has been found so far, he added.
On Friday the operations would be reviewed and a decision taken on its continuation.
