Reservation counter timings at Duvvada extended

February 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The timings of the computerised reservation counter at Duvvada Railway Station were extended with effect from February 1.

The counter is now functioning from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in two shifts.

The counter used to close by 3 p.m. in the past causing inconvenience to general shift employees, working in various public sector and private industries in the industrial belt of the city.

The demand for extension of timings has been pending for a long time and they have finally extended the timings, according to the Duvvada Railway Users’ Association secretary K. Eswar.

He thanked the Divisional Railway Manager Anil Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager M. Yelvender Yadav and other officials of Waltair Division and expressed optimism that the move would further increase the revenue earnings at Duvvada Railway Station.

The counter will, however, function from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. only on Sundays and national holidays.
