Justice V. Eswaraiah, former Chairman of National BC Commission, has made serious allegations against the A.P. Government and a Judge of the Supreme Court that they had submitted wrong reports to the Union Law Minister and the Chief Justice of India respectively casting aspersions on the calibre of some of Judges whose names were recommended for appointment as Judges of the High Court of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Justice Eswaraiah also produced copies of the confidential report purportedly sent by the Judge to the CJI at a media conference here on Sunday evening. He alleged that wrong reports were sent on two BCs, one SC and one General candidate who were among the six candidates whose names were recommended. He alleged that the Judge had written that the candidates recommended had no skills, no professional experience. He said all this suggested that the State government was not interested in the welfare of the BCs and did not want them to become Judges.

He said the candidates would have lost their chance but the Centre sought a report from the Intelligence Bureau and found that the reports were wrong.
