Former SAIL Executive Director (Transport & Shipping) Prabir Raychaudhury has assumed as the Director (Commercial) of RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
The post fell vacant, following appointment of T.K. Chand as the Chairman and Managing Director of National Aluminium Company (NALCO).
A product of IIT-New Delhi in Chemical Engineering, Mr. Raychaudhury started his career as Management Trainee in 1982 and worked in various key positions. He handled various commercial activities like domestic sales, international trade, warehouse operations, retail sales, transport and shipping.
Mr. Raychaudhury worked in close coordination with the railways for undertaking large volume of movement of imported raw materials.
