Taking note of the non-allotment of houses under the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa scheme to residents of Yellapuvanipalem in Ward 66, Commissioner GVMC has directed the officials to submit a detailed report on the issue.

Responding to the requests of residents for allotment of units in JNNURM project during his routine early morning ward visit the Commissioner asked the officials to give him a detailed report on how and why the residents of the ward were not allotted residential units under RGK.

The residents of Yellapuvanipalem complained to the Commissioner about the lack of drainage facility in the SC colony and said this was posing a health hazard for residents.

The Commissioner directed the officials to prepare estimates for the work on a priority.

He directed the Zonal Commissioner to talk to the bankers and get the bank linkages done for all the eligible self-help groups and asked the officials to bring to his notice in case of any issue with bankers.

He also directed the officials to supply water at convenient time and not at some unearthly hours. He also directed the officials to take steps to provide a water connection to the eligible poor for a payment of Rs 100.

He also enquired from the residents whether the sanitation wing was cleaning the locality on a regular basis and if the streetlights were functioning properly.

He also interacted with the residents of Viman Nagar in Ward 67. He verified whether or not the sanitation workers were cleaning up the locality on a regular basis. Zonal Commissioner of Zone VI B Sanyasinaidu, ACP Jayaramu, assistant medical officer Anand, AE Ramakrishna, APD Suryanarayana and other officials accompanied the Commissioner.
