A total of 102 mobile teams would go from house to house in the recognised high-risk areas to administer polio drops to children in the 0-5 age group as part of the second phase of the Pulse Polio campaign in the district on Sunday, District Medical and Health Officer R. Syamala informed at a press conference here.
The mobile teams would operate in slums, fishermen colonies, areas inhabited by agriculture labourers and nomads, near brick kilns, and where buildings are under construction.
In all, 4,26,213 children have been identified for administration of polio drops and all arrangements are in place. The mopping up operation would continue on Monday and Tuesday. In all, 3,632 Pulse Polio booths would function.
