Proud moment for AU V-C

The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) has presented its Honorary Fellowship to Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University G.S.N. Raju here on Thursday.

Immediate Past President of the IIChE and Principal of AU College of Engineering Ch.V. Ramachandra Murthy presented the fellowship to Prof. Raju at a function. While thanking IIChE for conferring Honorary Fellowship on him, Prof. Raju assured that he would encourage chemical engineering education and research in the university. Laboratories of the department would be modernised and strengthened, he said.

Prof. Ramachandra Murthy said that Prof. Raju was selected for the award by a committee of experts in recognition to his contribution to the field of engineering and technology and his services to the promotion of higher education in the country.

Rector E.A. Narayana, Registrar K. Rama Mohana Rao, professors and executive committee members of IIChE Pidaparthi Dakshina Murthy, V. Sujatha, K.V. Ramana Murthy, Naidu, S. Rama Gopal and Prasad participated.
