Ahead of the proposed strike of outsourced and contract electricity workers on January 27, a convention of the Joint Action Committee will be organised here on Sunday.
President R.K.S.V. Kumar said the strike was being resorted to as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu did not keep his promise of regularising the workers and providing them PF and ESI facilities.
‘No response’
Though protests were organised it did not elicit any response leaving no alternative to strike, Mr. Kumar said.
