Poor turnover

VSP union blames management

April 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Visakha Steel Employees Congress, the recognised union of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has flayed the management for steep fall in turnover.

Blaming ‘wrong priorities’ for drastic fall in turnover despite wholehearted support from the workforce to put the plant on track in a record time after Cyclone Hudhud, VSEC deputy general secretary Neerukonda Ramachandra Rao said even after record despatch in March, there was huge inventory at VSP stockyards.

He said the Marketing Department had totally failed in adopting a need-based approach.

Admitting that raw material was a big problem for VSP, Mr. Ramachandra Rao said both the management and the employees should work hand-in-hand to improve the performance significantly during current fiscal.
