Playlet contests begin

The 4th Rao Gopala Rao Memorial Playlet Competitions covering the two Telugu States began on Friday with the staging of ‘Nallasamudram’ and ‘Chivari Adhyayam’ at Kalabharati auditorium here.

The first playlet written by Kandimalla Sambasiva Rao focussed on the deteriorating values in politics and the second by S.K. Misro on the middle class wish of having own house.

The competition was inaugurated by Anakapalle MLA P. Govinda Satyanarayana.

S Vijay Kumar of Vijay Nirman, Soundaryalahari secretary Ramadevi, Buddha Sivaji, DIET secretary Dadi Ratnakar, playlet committee convener ‘Railway’ Krishna, Boddeti Jagat Rao, and Pratap Kumar participated.
