Photography Day celebrated

Students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Kapuluppada branch celebrated World Photography Day. Renowned wildlife and nature photographer Captain Suresh Sharma, fashion photographer B.K. Agarwal and professional photographer Prabal Mohanty attended as special guests.

They shared insights into the art of photography. Capt. Sharma who conceived the concept of Green Dot Expeditions urged the students to nurture their passion and embark on a journey that sets them apart in the creative world of photography. Later, he presented one of his works ‘Legacy of a Legend-MiG 21in the Indian Air Force’ coffee table book to the institution. About 900 photographs captured by 350 amateur photographers were put up on the school campus. Director of the institution Ch. Vasu Prakash attended.

Members of Professional Photographers and Videographers Association celebrated World Photography Day at Dr. Y.V.S. Murthi Auditorium, Andhra University College of Engineering on Saturday. Registrar V. Uma Maheswara Rao inaugurated the photo exhibition. Eye testing camp, cultural activities and presentation of awards to meritorious students and sportspersons also formed a part of the celebrations that drew over 700 participants.
