Colony residents’ associations, walkers’ clubs, educational institutions, commercial establishments, NGOs, voluntary organisations, and environmentalists will be given an opportunity to become part of the project by taking up safeguarding the planted saplings, says VUDA Vice-Chairman N. The project aims at planting 40 lakh saplings over a period of five years in the city to fight pollution with the participation of 22 industries and the support of the district administration, the GVMC, and the VUDA. e AP Pollution Control Board is coordinating, and VUDA is extending technical cooperation.
