A massive peace rally was organised by Christian Minority Joint Action Committee president Anil Paul protesting against increasing atrocities on women and terrorist attacks at Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad.
Addressing participants Bishop M.A. Paul exhorted them to promote peace and goodwill in a world of turbulence caused by terrorism and inhuman attacks on women. He later offered prayers for peace and goodwill in the country.
The rally was flagged off by Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana at the Gandhi statue near GVMC office and culminated at Jagadamba Junction where Visakha North MLA Tynala Vijay Kumar addressed the gathering. Members of local churches and Christian organisations and nursing colleges , including Visakha Vocational College, St.Luke’s School of Nursing, Seven Hills Nursing School, Vijay School of Nursing and Care School of Nursing participated in large numbers.
The School of Aviation Flying Cats organised a display of 10 national leaders.
