The passing-out parade of the 85th Basic Submarine Course (officers) and 84th Basic Submarine Course (sailors) was held at the submarine training establishment INS Satavahana here on Friday. Chief of Staff, ENC, Vice Admiral Bimal Verma reviewed the parade and presented awards to the trainees. The officers and sailors who passed out would be joining submarines on the Eastern and Western seaboards. Lieutenant Amit Rawat was adjudged the best all round officer. Ketan Nerrum, Mechanician third class and Pankaj Pathania, Seaman (Radar Plotter I) first class were declared the best overall senior and junior sailors respectively.
