A wide range of traditional and mouth-watering Odia dishes will be available on a platter at the Odia food festival being conducted by the Utkal Sanskrutika Samaj on the occasion of Utkal Divas at Jagannath temple complex on Daspalla Hills on Tuesday evening.

Some of the members of the Samaj, a premier socio-cultural organisation of Odias residing in the city will take special care to dish out the delicacies to the visitors at a nominal price. This is an annual event which is frequented by Odias as well as people from other communities.

Yummy traditional dishes like Sijha Manda or Pani Manda and Chhana Manda will be available. Manda is made of dough of rice powder and usually the filling is done with coconut sweets. Pani Manda is the one boiled in water and Chhana is prepared with a deep fry.

A cultural programme by Mamini Kala Parishad, Cuttack sponsored by the Department of Culture, Government of Odisha, will be a special attraction, said Samaj president J.K. Nayak and secretary Bijoy Mahapatra.
