NTPC takes up anti-larval treatment

NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Plant on Wednesday launched anti-larval treatment in the neighbouring villages and distributed coconut plants on May 25.

The initiative was taken for improving sanitation and also as a preventive measure to combat mosquito menace. The work will be executed by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department for which Rs.5 lakh has been deposited with MPDO, Parawada.

Pendurthy MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy distributed coconut plants to the farmers who lost their crop in the past. The identification of beneficiaries was done by the office of the MPDO, Parawada.
