National Maritime Foundation, the premier maritime think tank of India, thanked the Eastern Naval Command for its cooperation in carrying on with its Students Maritime Awareness Programmes.
Regional Director of the NMF G. Padmaja called on Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral H.C.S. Bisht here on Monday and thanked the Vice Admiral for the cooperation given by the ENC by deputing senior naval officers to be part of the think tank’s maritime awareness programmes conducted in various educational institutions in the city.
As part of Students Maritime Awareness Programmes at various educational institutions in the city, prominent academicians and senior naval officers interacted with school and university students and discussed various issues relating to Maritime History, Maritime Diplomacy, Indian Navy and Nation Building, International Fleet Review, Blue Economy and the emerging focus of the State and Central governments on port-led economic development model, she explained.
