In the wake of bifurcation, the Retired College Teachers’ Association elected its new office-bearers for the Visakhapatnam unit and Visakhapatnam district unit on Saturday.
The general body that met at the GVP Degree College here on Saturday unanimously elected the office-bearers for a period of two years, according to a statement issued here by association general secretary P.V.C. Sarma. For the Visakhapatnam unit, R Ramachandra Reddy was elected president, K Chandrasekhara Murty vice-president, P.V.C. Sarma secretary, and P. Suryaprasaka Rao as treasurer.
For the Visakhapatnam district unit, J. Arunachala Ramana was unanimously elected president, P. Kottilingalu of Anakapalle as vice- president, PVC Sarma, secretary and P. Suryaprakasa Rao, treasurer. Twenty members each were elected to the executive council.
