Navy CME on diabetes

As an initiative on diabetes, INHS Kalyani, the flagship hospital of the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, will organise a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on ‘Diabetes: current concepts and management’ on May 8 and 9.

The conference will begin with the keynote address by Chairman and Senior consultant Diabetologist, Kanungo Institute of Diabetes Specialities, Bhubaneswar, Alok Kanungo, on ‘Living with diabetes: the emerging challenges’.

Maj. Gen. Velu Nair will give the inaugural Kalyani oration lecture on ‘Regenerative medicine: hype or hope’.

Lectures by several luminaries follow.

INHS Kalyani has also instituted the Kalyani Rolling Quiz trophy. This year, diabetes would be the focus of the quiz. Medical graduates from various colleges and hospitals from Visakhapatnam and teams from the Commands of Indian Navy have confirmed their participation.
