Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s remark that the YSR Congress Party and the BJP are working in tandem to fulfil their selfish goals, drew flak from the local YSRCP leaders, here on Tuesday.
YSRCP city president Malla Vijaya Prasad, YSR said “If YSRCP and BJP have a nexus, as alleged by the CM, then why will we try to push for a no-confidence motion in Parliament against the BJP-led NDA government.”
He went ahead to say it was TDP that was trying to stall the no-confidence motion in Parliament.
“When we announced the no-confidence motion, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu openly said TDP will support the motion and went on record by saying that ‘TDP will support any like-minded party that fights for AP in Parliament’. But he immediately took a ‘U’turn and announced that TDP would also move a no-confidence motion and so far both were not admitted amidst instigated chaos in the Lower House,” alleged Mr. Vijaya Prasad.
Anakapalle unit president of the party Gudivada Amarnath said Mr. Chandrababu Naidu had a reputation for staging a ‘volte-face’ as per the opportunity on hand. “He did it in the SCS issue. Initially, he had supported the Special Package and said package was better than SCS and again later switched the demand for SCS,” said Mr. Amarnath.
‘U’ turn
Mr. Vijaya Prasad said, “The Chief Minister had no alternative but to take a ‘U’ turn in the SCS issue. It is a known fact that as per the intelligence report Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy is gaining popularity for his open demand for SCS, and unable to take the beating he changed the stance.”
According to him, BJP will not allow the admission of no-confidence motion and will drag on till completion of the Budget session.
