Students displayed their talents at the Mr and Miss Amity contest held on the concluding day of the All-India B-Schools Management Meet, Amity – 2010, in Andhra University on Tuesday. Around 25 students took part in the keenly contested event. In all, five rounds were held that tested the participants in various areas like confidence, presentation, presence of mind and individual talents. At the end of it, the Mr Amity title went to Srihar from GITAM University and Sunanda of AQJ Centre for PG Studies won the Miss Amity title.

A treasure hunt contest was also held at the AU South campus. The ‘master of strokes' painting competition unleashed a host of colourful creative ideas depicted by the students on the themes of ‘my campus' and ‘my city'. The winners of the painting contest were G. Nalini and Hari Krishna Ramesh.

Nearly 2,000 students from more than 70 colleges in the State and from different parts of the country took part in the three-day management meet. Events such as ‘Naïve Connoisseur', ‘Biz Squeeze', ‘Ad-Venture', ‘Collage', ‘Virtuoso' and ‘Foot loose' were held. These events provided the participants an opportunity to test their skills in the various functional areas of management. They were asked to give presentations, conduct interviews, face mock press interviews.

The games also tested the participants in areas like stress interview, situation analysis and other management decision-making areas. Interspersed with fun-filled cultural fiesta, the meet gave a platform to the students to exhibit their latent talents in field of music and dance apart from their academic skills.
