Mitsubishi Electric sees growing demand in AP

Stating that they manufacture products such as PLC, HMI, AC Servo and VFDS, the officials said their latest product was low voltage switchgear. Demand was likely to rise due to PCPIR and plan to develop an industrial corridor from Visakhapatnam to Chennai.

Mitsubishi Electric, one of the leading multinationals which caters to the complete office automation, will open a satellite office in the city to meet the growing demand of the industries post-bifurcation in Andhra Pradesh.

The company at present has eight offices and five satellite offices across the country. It has full-fledged office at Hyderabad.

“We perceive tremendous demand for prospective clientele in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in pharma, automotive, process industries, packaging, F&B, material handling, steel and cement,” Senior Manager-Chennel Business (factory automation & industrial division) Dayaram Bole and Branch Manager-Sales for Karnataka and AP Pradeep Kulkarni told The Hindu.

They were here to attend a product seminar conducted by Mitsubishi Electric’s local dealer Sree Sreenidhi Engineering. They explained about the demand that was likely to rise due to PCPIR and plan to develop an industrial corridor from Visakhapatnam to Chennai.

The officials said there were a lot of opportunities for them for supply and erection of various equipment for water and waste water management, textiles and power projects coming up in the Visakhapatnam-Kakinada region.

They said their global turnover was $22 billion, which was 10 per cent of Japan’s GDP. Their business turnover in India was to the tune of Rs.250 crore last year, which they had decided to increase to Rs. 315 crore during 2014-15.

Stating that they manufacture products such as PLC, HMI, AC Servo and VFDS, the officials said their latest product was low voltage switchgear.

The company is setting up a huge R&D facility with massive investment at Pune to meet the market demand of entire Asia.
