Providing an easy way out of long-drawn litigations, the District Legal Services Authority is conducting a Mega Lok Adalat on April 12.
Litigants can approach Lok Adalat benches and get their issues resolved there. The decision of the Lok Adalat is binding on both parties and therefore there would be no appeal allowed on it. The Mega Lok Adalat is being conducted in view of the fact that the proposed National Lok Adalat scheduled on that day has been cancelled due to the election process in the country, according to Metropolitan Sessions Judge N. Ganesh Babu.
District Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority V. Jaya Surya has instructed that 36 benches should be established to hear the cases on that day of which 22 will be in the city courts and the rest 14 will be at different centres, including Gajuwaka, Chintapalli and Anakapalle, says the Metropolitan Sessions Judge.
If both the parties are in agreement they can directly approach the benches on the day of the Lok Adalat for resolution.
