Scores of students reached Sri Sathya Sai Prema Sadan at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar and showcased their talent at a programme organised by the Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas of Visakhapatnam district here on Sunday.
With a view to nurturing human values, discipline, and promoting spiritual bent of mind among children, the student wing of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation held a three-hour programme, where students of Classes II to X took part in Padya Naivedyam (poetry recitation), Ashtotra Nava Natya Malika (classical dance performance), and Abhinaya Sankeertana Lahari (group singing).
Students from different branches of the balavikas groups across the district gathered and participated in a line of events, and the evening appeared to be apt for those who like to unwind themselves listening to the melodies of devotional songs, popular verses, and view classical dance performances. The programme also included story narration and lectures on Indian heritage and culture.
The objective of the programme was to encourage youngsters understand the meaning of spirituality and develop right attitude towards society at a tender age, said Dwaram Swamy, one of the volunteers.
“Every month, we like to bring people together through a series of various devotional activities,” he added.
District educational coordinator of the seva organisation I. Satya Prabha, district president V.R. Nageswara Rao, and a group of volunteers were part of the event.
