: While complimenting the Andhra Pradesh government for launching work on India’s first dedicated medical devices manufacturing park in the city, several investors from across the country made a strong pitch to develop an ecosystem to become make the project a grand success.

Chief Minister N. Incentives under PM's scheme too

The Central government’s pharmaceutical, commerce and other ministries will also provide incentives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship ‘Make in India’ programme and thanked Union Ministers H.N. Ananth Kumar and M. Venkaiah Naidu for their support.

“We are firm on making technology and Internet of Things a deadly combination for smart business and governance,” he said.

Mr. Naidu was lauded by Dr. Hendrik Jan Bekedam, WHO representative in India, who said the park was a landmark development in the direction of making healthcare affordable and cited how Egypt scripted its success story in medical device manufacturing.
