A highly decomposed body of a 33-year-old man was found at an isolated place at Sivasakthi Nagar of Madhurawada area here on Monday. The deceased was identified as Ramesh (33), painter by profession and resident of Sivasakthi nagar.

Though police said it could be a case of suicide, parents of the deceased allege that his wife's parents might have murdered him.

According to PM Palem Inspector K Lakshmana Murthy, they found a rope around the neck of Ramesh and suspect that he might have committed suicide by hanging on June 14 or June 15 night.

As per the police, the deceased was married to one Eswari about six years ago and they have two children.

Ramesh used to suspect the fidelity of his wife and would harass her. Moreover, they had differences over some property issues.

About a couple of months back, after Eswari lodged a complaint over his harassment, he was sent to jail for a month. Even after release from jail, Ramesh allegedly continued to harass Eswari.

Vexed with his behaviour, Eswari deserted him taking her two children. Since then he was staying alone. On Monday, the police traced the decomposed body of Ramesh lying on a floor with a rope tied round his neck.

The police said though there are several allegations of murder, the case could be a suicide due to depression. However a suspicious death case has been registered at PM Palem police station and investigation is on.
