Damadoram Sanjeevaiah National Law University will start functioning from its own premises at Sabbavaram from the next academic year.

Construction of the academic buildings and hostels for boys and girls was almost complete and work on the administration would also be ready when the university would shift from its rented accommodation in MVP Colony to its own premises, Vice-Chancellor in-charge of the university G.S.N. Raju said during a press conference on Tuesday.

The State government was requested to release the Rs. 20-crore fund promised by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the past, he said.

“A total of 554 students are studying various courses at the university. Several issues of the university will be discussed during the Executive Council meeting to be held on November 28,” he said.

Prof. Raju admonished the university staff for allowing a meeting of the employees with the former Vice-Chancellor of the university during which he had reportedly signed on some documents and also sanctioned some amount.
