Japanese team evinces interest in IT manpower

It holds talks with representaives of Chambers

Members of AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation met the Japanese Industry delegation on a visit to the city on Wednesday.

The delegation was led by chairman and president respectively of Information Technology Association of Andhra Pradesh Ravi Eswarapu and Krishna Gadiparthi, IT Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Kosaraju Sridhar and advisor and CEO of Symbiosys O. Naresh Kumar.

During the more than two hours of discussions, the Japanese delegations evinced keen interest in the availability of manpower in the IT sector and Centres of Excellence to meet their requirements. The Chambers’ representatives told them that the 12 universities in the State had 200 affiliated engineering colleges and talented manpower was available.

The Japanese delegation had also shown interest in the construction and pharmaceutical sectors and Green City Concepts.

G. Varun Kumar from Sravan Shipping Services briefed them on the logistics scenario and its growth with focus on imports and exports.
