Andhra University would organise a five-day internship camp of Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) on its campus from April 9.
Three hundred students, studying Intermediate or classes XI and XII would be selected for the camp, based on their Class X marks, AU Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju informed at a press conference here on Wednesday.
INSPIRE programme would help the students to become strong in basic sciences and lead them to innovative research and development, Prof. Raju said. This was one of Central Government Department of Science and Technology’s programmes to attract young students towards science, take up higher education in science-intensive programmes and build the required critical human resource pool, he explained.
Last date for applying for the INSPIRE Camp is April 2.
