Income Tax Day celebrated

Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Pradosh Chandra Mohanty traced the income tax in India, the first Income Tax Act and the developments in taxation during the last 157 years.

Initiatives

Participating as a chief guest at the Income Tax Day, organised by the Income Tax Department, Visakhapatnam, here on Monday, Mr. Mohanty also outlined the latest initiatives of the IT Department like tax-payer friendly initiatives like e-filing of returns at any time from anywhere, online verification of pre-paid taxes through TRACES website for reducing compliance cost and ease of doing business.
