Hidden Sprouts win VSP ‘special’ sports title

250 children from fourteen schools participate

Visakhapatnam Steel Pant organised sports for special children as a CSR initiative at Col C.K Nayudu Ukkunagaram Stadium on Saturday, in which MVP Colony’s Hidden Sprouts was declared as overall champions. Lebenshilfe took the second place. More than 250 children from fourteen schools participated from Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram Districts.

Mr. Kishore Chandra Das, Director (Personnel), VSP, inaugurated the event. He emphasized that VSP always strove for the uplift of special children and complimented the principals, teachers and support staff for their commendable service to society.

He appreciated sports department for extending the event to Vizianagaram district.

R.V. Rao, GM (HR) and Chairman, VSP Sports Committee, Mr. G. Gandhi DGM (CSR), Mr. M. S. Kumar HOD (Sports), Mr. K. Chandra Rao General Secretary, SEA, Mr. G. Venkata Rao, President of Recognised Union and Mr. M. Anvesh General Secreary of SC&ST Welfare Association participated in the inaugural function.

Mr. P.K Mahapatra, GM (L&A) was the chief guest for the valedictory function and distributed prizes.

In recognition of their services being rendered, all the teachers and support staff were presented with a memento each.
