The depression over southwest Bay of Bengal moved north northwestwards and lay centred over southwest Bay of Bengal, about 120 km south southeast of Chennai.
The system is likely to move north northwestwards towards north T.N. and south A.P. coasts and further intensify into a deep depression during the next 24 hours.
According to the CWC here, the system is likely to move northwards and then re-curve north northeastwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm.
Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rain is likely at a few places in coastal A.P. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along south coastal A.P. Squally wind with speed reaching 50-60 kmph.
