GITAM admission test (GAT-2018), an online exam for admissions into undergraduate, post-graduate engineering, technology, pharmacy and architecture programmes of GITAM University will be held in 48 cities all over the country between April 11 and 26, 2018.
The university is offering 10 B. Tech programmes, two dual-degree programmes (B.Tech+ M. Tech) in ECE and mechanical engineering at its three campuses in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The B. Tech in biotechnology is being offered in Visakhapatnam campus, while B. Tech in aerospace engineering is being offered exclusively at the Hyderabad campus, according to university Vice-Chancellor M.S. Prasada Rao.
He told the media here on Saturday that the B. Arch, M. Pharmacy and M. Arch programmes were being offered at Visakhapatnam campus only. The university was introducing B. Pharm programme at its Hyderabad campus from the academic year 2018.
The university was also offering 17 M. Tech programmes in Visakhapatnam and five in Hyderabad. It was also offering M. Tech programmes at its Bengaluru campus in cyber security, data sciences, embedded systems and VLSI design from the academic year 2017-18.
Admissions into these programmes would be based on the ranks obtained in GAT- 2018. The online test consists of separate admission tests for undergraduate technology programmes (UGTP) and post-graduate technology programmes (PGTP) and a separate admission test for post-graduate pharmacy programmes (PGP).
Interested students can download the GAT-2018 instruction booklet and application form from the website: www.gitam.edu to apply online. The GAT-2018 applications are also available at Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank branches. Last date for submission of applications is March 26, 2018.
