A 15-year-old girl from Hyderabad was rescued by the Government Railway Police (GRP) here on Thursday.

According to DSP, K. Venkat Rao, the student of first Intermediate and resident of Hyderabad, had come with her mother to Vijayawada on vacation. She had earlier developed intimacy with one Koritala Kiran (35).

According to GRP Inspector Naveen Kumar, the accused wanted to marry her but because of age factor, the family members rejected the offer. Kiran, along with his brother Koritala Raju (36), persuaded the minor to board a train for Visakhapatnam, where he promised to marry her.

In the meanwhile, the minor’s relatives lodged a complaint, and basing on a tipoff, we arrested the brothers in the outer of Visakhapatnam station and took custody of the girl,” said Mr. Naveen.

The GRP have registered a kidnapping case against the brothers.
