Gesture to Hudhud victims

In an effort to reach out to Huhud cyclone victims, members of Telugu Velugu Germany e.v. organised ‘Helping hands’, an initiative to provide support to the needy, near NMCH School, P&T Colony, on Sunday.

Identifying the needs of the few slum-dwellers residing in and around P&T Colony and Seethammadhara, chairman of the international voluntary organisation D. Sai Reddy along with his wife Saraswathi Reddy from Frankfurt distributed a set of bedspread, a steel pot, a couple of glasses, plates and spoons along with a sari and a lungi to about 200 persons. .

“Since Vizag is our native place, we keep visiting the city every year and try to contribute to society in our own little way,” said Mr. Sai Reddy, a retired engineer.
