Geethika stands first

In the elocution contest conducted to mark the World Ozone Day by The Hindu in association with Essar Foundation (CSR arm of Essar Group), D. Geethika of Sri Ramakrishna School, Shantinagar, NAD, stood first.

Akanksha Mishra of Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar and Prerana Patro of V. T. High School got the second and third prizes respectively.

S. L. P. Sravya (Balaji English Medium High School, Gopalapatnam), M. Kirtana Naidu (DAV Public School, Butchirajupalem) and G.V. Kalyan (Srujana School, PM Palem) bagged consolation prizes.

A total of 75 participated in the qualifying rounds and 10 made it to the final on Tuesday. Ms. Geethika got an opportunity to express herself at the meeting again.

Head of the Department of Journalism, Andhra University, P. Bobby Vardhan and Chairman of Board of Studies D.V. R. Murthy were the judges in the final at A.P. Social Welfare Residential School at Adavivaram.
