Food Inspector K. Jayaprakash was caught red-handed by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from a pan shop owner near his home at NGOs Colony on Thursday. Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB, Vizag, K.V. Ramakrishna Prasad said that that the food inspector had raided the pan shop belonging to Satyanarayana, a few days ago, and had registered a case against him for selling pan masala (Gutka).

The food inspector then demanded Rs. 5,000 as bribe from the pan shop owner for imposing less fine.

Vexed with the harassment, Satyanarayana approached ACB officials, who laid a trap and arrested the food inspector.
