The Hindu in association with IDP Education India Pvt. Ltd. organised a one-day Education Fair on higher studies in Canada here on Wednesday.

Around 200 students participated in the first part of the event that was held at Raghu Engineering College with five representatives from Canadian institutions. Addressing the gathering, Destination Manager of IDP, Senthilnathan Kamalanathan, spoke about how one can overcome the assumptions and limitations on studying abroad through right sources of information.

He also spoke on ways to overcome financial hurdle through scholarships and other funding options by applying early to the institutions abroad.

The session was aimed at giving clarity to students on selecting right universities, time-lines to apply, available intakes, Visa process and various requirements for higher education in Canada.

Interactive session

Following the session, students had a one-on-one interaction with representatives of Canadian institution where their profiles were assessed for admission and scholarships and appropriate suggestions for courses were provided.

Around 80 students participated in the second part of the event that was held at IDP Education office.
