To dish out a one-stop solution to all seafood lovers of the city, The Gateway Hotel is hosting ‘Fishy Friday’ at its GAD restaurant for dinner on every Friday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Authentic flavours of seafood will be prepared by the hotel’s master chefs in a live and interactive environment.
The food festival will be offering many varieties of seafood preparation with fresh catches like pomfret, prawns, crabs in live counters and extended buffet spread. Some of the highlights of the festival are Mangalorean crab roast, meen moilee, English fish and chips, grilled prawns and masala netthili. Food on the menu will be prepared using authentic ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.
“Sea food can be prepared in several regional cuisines, but we have taken this endeavour to serve authentic preparations from different southern regions,” said Gopalakrishnan, food and beverage manager of the hotel. Executive chef Sanat Chitrakar said that the menu will be a reflection of culinary sojourn of the several regions and prepared in the most authentic and traditional methods.
